Cong Guo
Biography
Cong Guo is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University, working with Prof. Yiran Chen and Prof. Hai (Helen) Li. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2023, supervised by Prof. Jingwen Leng.
His research focuses on computer architecture, particularly scalable hardware–software co-design for efficient AI systems. He has developed sparsity- and quantization-aware architectures for model compression and overall efficiency. Recently, he has been exploring architectural designs tailored for large language models (LLMs). His work has received an HPCA 2026 Best Paper Nomination and was selected as an IEEE 2022 Micro Top Pick (Honorable Mention).
